Friday (Al-Jumu'ah)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth declares the glory of Allah, the King, the Holy, the Mighty, the Wise. 1 He it is Who hath sent among the unlettered ones a messenger of their own, to recite unto them His revelations and to make them grow, and to teach them the Scripture and wisdom, though heretofore they were indeed in error manifest, 2 And He has sent him (Prophet Muhammad SAW) also to others among them (Muslims) who have not yet joined them (but they will come). And He (Allah) is the All-Mighty, the All-Wise. 3 Such is the favor of God which He grants to whomever He wants. God's favor is great. 4 The likeness of those who have been loaded with the Torah then they have not carried it, is as the likeness of an ass carrying books. Evil is the likeness of the people who have cried lies to God's signs. God guides never the people of the evildoers. 5 Say thou: O ye who are Judaised! if ye imagine that ye are the friends of Allah above mankind, then wish for death if ye be truthful. 6 But they shall never wish for death because of the (evil) deeds they have committed. Allah is well aware of these evil-doers. 7 Say: 'Surely death, from which you flee, shall encounter you; then you shall be returned to the Knower of the Unseen and the Visible, and He will tell you that you have been doing.' 8
