And (remember) when your Lord called Musa (Moses) (saying): "Go to the people who are Zalimun (polytheists and wrong-doing), 10 The people of Fir'aun (Pharaoh). Will they not fear Allah and become righteous?" 11 Moses replied, "My Lord, I fear they will reject me, 12 I feel nervous and my tongue is not fluent, so send Aaron with me. 13 "And they have a charge of crime against me, and I fear they will kill me." 14 Allah said: "Nay! Go you both with Our Signs. Verily! We shall be with you, listening. 15 And go, both of you, unto Pharaoh and say, 'Behold, we bear a message from the Sustainer of all the worlds: 16 Send forth with us the Children of Israel' 17 Pharaoh said: "Did we not bring you up among us when you were a child? 18 And you did (that) deed of yours which you did, and you are one of the ungrateful. 19 Moses said, "I did do it and I made a mistake. 20 Then I fled from you when I feared you, and my Lord vouchsafed me a command and appointed me (of the number) of those sent (by Him). 21 And is it a favor of which you remind me that you have enslaved the children of Israel? 22 The Pharaoh asked, "Who is the Lord of the Universe?" 23 [Moses] answered: "[He is] the Sustainer of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them: if you would but [allow yourselves to] be convinced!" 24 Said [Pharaoh] unto those around him: "Did you hear [what he said]?" 25 Moses continued, "He is the Lord and the Lord of your forefathers." 26 Fir'awn said: verily your apostle who hath been sent unto you is mad. 27 [Moses] said, "Lord of the east and the west and that between them, if you were to reason." 28 (Pharaoh) said: If thou choosest a god other than me, I assuredly shall place thee among the prisoners. 29 [Moses] said, "Even if I brought you proof manifest?" 30 [Pharaoh] answered: "Produce it, then, if thou art a man of truth!" 31 So Moosa put down his staff and it became a visible serpent. 32 And he drew forth his hand and lo! it was white to the beholders. 33
