Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By the dipersing winds that disperse. 1 And those who bear the load (of rain), 2 and those speeding along with ease, 3 and the partitioners, 4 Verily, that which you are promised is true indeed, 5 The Judgement will indeed take place. 6 By the heaven with its numerous forms: 7 Verily ye are in a divided opinion. 8 Deluded away from the Qur'an is he who is deluded. 9 Doomed are the conjecturers 10 Who are lost in deception. 11 They ask: “When will the Day of Judgement be?” 12 (It will be) a Day when they will be tried (i.e. burnt) over the Fire! 13 "Taste your trial. This is what you sought to hasten." 14 Indeed, the righteous will be among gardens and springs, 15 joyously receiving what their Lord will have granted them. Verily they did good works before (the coming of this Day): 16 they used to sleep but little by night, 17 And in the dawns they prayed for forgiveness. 18 And in their wealth the beggar and the outcast had due share. 19 On the earth, and in yourselves, 20 And in your own selves; so can you not perceive? 21 And in the heaven is your provision, and that which you are promised. 22 Then, by the Lord of heaven and earth, this is the very Truth, as much as the fact that ye can speak intelligently to each other. 23
