Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By the (winds) sent forth in quick succession, 1 Then by oath of those that push with a strong gust. 2 And by the winds that scatter clouds and rain; 3 Then separate them one from another, 4 and those (angels) dropping, reminding 5 To excuse or to warn, 6 Surely, what you are promised must come to pass. 7 When the stars shall be extinguished, 8 when heaven shall be split 9 And when the mountains are carried away by wind. 10 And when the messengers are brought unto their time appointed - 11 For what day is it timed? 12 For the Day of sorting out (the men of Paradise from the men destined for Hell). 13 And what shall teach thee what is the Day of Decision? 14 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients? 16 Then did We follow them up with later ones. 17 As such shall We deal with the sinners. 18 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 19 Did We not create you of a mean fluid, 20 We then kept it in a safe place. 21 for an appointed term? 22 For We do determine (according to need); for We are the best to determine (things). 23 Ah woe, that Day! to the Rejecters of Truth! 24 Have We not made the earth a container 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 place on it high mountains and provide you with fresh water? 27 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 28 [They will be told], "Proceed to that which you used to deny. 29 Proceed to that shadow, rising in three columns 30 which neither provides (cooling) shade nor protection against the flames; 31 Lo! it throweth up sparks like the castles, 32 and yellow camels. 33 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 34 This is the day they shall not speak 35 nor shall they be permitted to offer excuses. 36 On that day, woe would be those who have rejected God's revelations! 37 that Day of Distinction [between the true and the false, when they will be told]: "We have brought you together with those [sinners] of olden times; 38 So if you have a plan, then plan against Me. 39 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 40
