Also, remember Our worshiper Job. He called out to his Lord, (saying): 'satan has afflicted me with harm and pain' 41 (And it was said unto him): Strike the ground with thy foot. This (spring) is a cool bath and a refreshing drink. 42 We restored to him his family and like those with them, a mercy from Us and a reminder to a nation that understand. 43 And (it was said unto him): Take in thine hand a branch and smite therewith, and break not thine oath. Lo! We found him steadfast, how excellent a slave! Lo! he was ever turning in repentance (to his Lord). 44 And make mention of Our bondmen, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, men of parts and vision. 45 We indeed gave them distinction with a genuine affair – the remembrance of the (everlasting) abode. 46 And they are with Us, verily, of the chosen and the best! 47 Remember [Our servants] Ishmael, Elisha, and Dhu'l-Kifl. Each of them was among the just. 48 This is a Reminder, and indeed for the cautious is a fine return, 49 the Gardens of eternity with gates thrown wide open to them. 50 Reclining on pillows, in it they ask for fruits and drinks in plenty. 51 ۞ With companions of modest look, the same in age, by their side. 52 This is the promise being given to you, for the Day of Reckoning. 53 Our provision for you will never be exhausted. 54 This (shall be so); and most surely there is an evil resort for the inordinate ones; 55 hell will they have to endure - and how vile a resting-place! 56 This - let them taste it: scalding water and corruption. 57 and, coupled with it, further [suffering] of a similar nature. 58 (We shall say to their leaders): 'This is a troop rushing in with you, there is no welcome for them, they shall roast in the Fire' 59 They shall say: Nay! you-- no welcome to you: you did proffer it to us, so evil is the resting-place. 60 [And] they will pray: "O our Sustainer! Whoever has prepared this for us, double Thou his suffering in the fire!" 61 And they say, “What is the matter with us that we do not see the men whom we thought were evil?” 62 [and] whom we made the target of our derision? Or is it that [they are here, and] our eyes have missed them?" 63 Surely that is true -- the disputing of the inhabitants of the Fire. 64
