۞ And when the son of Maryam is held up, an example, behold! thy people thereat cry out. 57 And they said, "Are your gods better, or is he?" They did not present the comparison except for [mere] argument. But, [in fact], they are a people prone to dispute. 58 He was naught but a servant on whom We bestowed favor, and We made him an example for the children of Israel. 59 Had We willed, We would have appointed angels among you to be successors in the earth. 60 And verily he is a sign of the Hour wherefore dubitate not thereof, and follow Me: this is the straight path. 61 And let not Satan turn you aside. Lo! he is an open enemy for you. 62 And when Jesus came with the clear signs he said, 'I have come to you with wisdom, and that I may make clear to you some of that whereon you are at variance; so fear you God and obey you me. 63 Lo! Allah, He is my Lord and your Lord. So worship Him. This is a right path. 64 But certain groups created differences among themselves. Woe to the unjust. They will face a painful torment. 65 Are they merely waiting for the Hour, which will come upon them suddenly and take them unawares? 66 Close friends will turn into enemies of one another on that Day, except the pious. 67
