The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ The All-merciful 1 Has taught (you mankind) the Quran (by His Mercy). 2 He created man. 3 and has taught him intelligible speech. 4 The sun and the moon to a reckoning, 5 The stars and the trees prostrate. 6 And the skies has He raised high, and has devised [for all things] a measure, 7 In order that you may not corrupt the balance. 8 And observe correct measure, weigh with justice, and not cheat the balance. 9 And the earth! He hath lain it out for the creatures. 10 There are fruits of all kinds on it, and date-palms with their clusters sheathed, 11 And the grain with (its) husk and fragrance. 12 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 13 He created man (Adam) from sounding clay like the clay of pottery. 14 and He created the jinn of a smokeless fire. 15 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 16 Lord of the Two Easts, Lord of the Two Wests, 17 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 18 He let forth the two seas that meet together, 19 Between them is a Barrier which they do not transgress: 20 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 21 From both of them emerge pearl and coral. 22 Which, of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 23 His are the lofty ships, that rear aloft on the sea like mountains. 24 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 25
