Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
50 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah) before Q (Qaaf)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the winds sent forth in swift succession, 1 which then blow tempestuously 2 Which scatter clouds to their destined places, 3 By those who winnow with a winnowing, 4 And those winds that bring down the remembrance. 5 to excuse some and warn others: 6 Indeed what you are promised, will surely befall. 7 Then when the stars lose their lights; 8 The heavens split asunder, 9 And when the mountains are blown away; 10 And when the messengers' time has come... 11 To what day is the doom fixed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what knowest thou what the Day of Decision is? 14 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 15 Did We not destroy the earlier people? 16 So shall We make the later ones to follow them. 17 Thus do We deal with the Mujrimun (polytheists, disbelievers, sinners, criminals, etc.)! 18 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 19 Did We not create you from a humble fluid, 20 The which We placed in a place of rest, firmly fixed, 21 For a period (of gestation), determined (according to need)? 22 For We do determine (according to need); for We are the best to determine (things). 23 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle. 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and filled you with sweet water? 27 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 28 Proceed now towards that which you were wont to deny as false; 29 "Depart you to a shadow (of Hell-fire smoke ascending) in three columns, 30 "(Which yields) no shade of coolness, and is of no use against the fierce Blaze. 31 it throws spits as (high as a huge) palace, 32 As though they were camels yellow tawny. 33 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth 34 This is a Day whereon they shall not be able to speak. 35 Nor will it be permitted for them to make an excuse. 36 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 37 'This is the Day of Decision; We have joined you with the ancients; 38 and if you [think that you] have a subterfuge left, try to outwit Me!" 39 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 40

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
