Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the (Winds) sent forth one after another (to man's profit); 1 which then blow tempestuously 2 And [by] the winds that spread [clouds] 3 And by the Verses (of the Quran) that separate the right from the wrong. 4 And those winds that bring down the remembrance. 5 To end all argument or to warn. 6 Surely that which ye are promised will befall. 7 Then when the stars become dim; 8 And when the sky is riven asunder, 9 When the mountains are scattered (to the winds) as dust; 10 and when the messengers are brought together at the appointed time -- 11 For what Day was it postponed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 Would that you knew about the Day of Judgment! 14 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients 16 Then did We follow them up with later ones. 17 In this wise We do with the culprits. 18 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 19 Have We not created you from a fluid (held) despicable?- 20 That is how We reward the good. 21 For a known calculated term. 22 Thus We arranged. How excellent is Our arranging! 23 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected the revelations of God! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle? 25 The living and the dead, 26 And made therein mountains standing firm, lofty (in stature); and provided for you water sweet (and wholesome)? 27 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 28 Proceed to that which you denied. 29 proceed towards the three-pronged shadow, 30 affording neither shade, nor protection from the flames, 31 and throwing up sparks as huge as towers 32 like giant fiery ropes! 33 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 34 They will not be able to speak that day, 35 Nor will it be permitted for them to make an excuse. 36 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 37 This is the Day of Decision, We have assembled both ye and the ancients. 38 If you now have any conspiracy, carry it out on Me. 39 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 40
