When the hypocrites and those in whose hearts was disease said: Their religion has deceived them; and whoever trusts in Allah, then surely Allah is Mighty, Wise. 49 AND IF thou couldst but see [how it will be] when He causes those who are bent on denying the truth to die; the angels will strike their faces and their backs, and [will say]: "Taste suffering through fire 50 That is for what your hands have forwarded, Allah is not unjust to His worshipers' 51 [To them shall happen] the like of what happened to Pharaoh's people and those who lived before them; they denied the truth of God's messages and so God took them to task for their sins. Verily, God is powerful, severe in retribution! 52 That is because Allah would not change a favor which He had bestowed upon a people until they change what is within themselves. And indeed, Allah is Hearing and Knowing. 53 [Theirs is] like the custom of the people of Pharaoh and of those before them. They denied the signs of their Lord, so We destroyed them for their sins, and We drowned the people of Pharaoh. And all [of them] were wrongdoers. 54 The worst creatures in the sight of God are those who reject Him and will not believe; 55 Those of them with whom thou madest a treaty, and then at every opportunity they break their treaty, and they keep not duty (to Allah). 56 When you capture the (unbelievers) during a fight, teach them a lesson so that they thereafter will always be aware of the threat of your power. 57 If you (O Muhammad SAW) fear treachery from any people throw back (their covenant) to them (so as to be) on equal terms (that there will be no more covenant between you and them). Certainly Allah likes not the treacherous. 58
