Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By the loosed ones successively 1 And by the winds that blow violently, 2 by (the angels) spreading (the words of God) far and wide, 3 then the criterion (the verses of Koran), separating 4 by those who bring down the reminder, 5 To clear or to warn. 6 surely that which you are promised is about to fall! 7 So when the stars are obliterated 8 and the sky is rent asunder, 9 when the mountains shall be scattered 10 And when the time of the Noble Messengers arrives. 11 to what day shall they be delayed? 12 The Day of Judgement. 13 Would that you knew what the Day of Decision is! 14 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 15 Did We not destroy the earlier people? 16 So shall We make later (generations) follow them. 17 [for] thus do We deal with such as are lost in sin. 18 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 19 Did We not create you of a mean fluid, 20 that We laid within a sure lodging 21 For a known period (determined by gestation)? 22 Thus did We Plan and how excellent is Our planning! 23 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 24 Have We not made the earth a container 25 The living and the dead, 26 and have We not set on it proud, firm mountains, and given you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 28 [They will be told], "Proceed to that which you used to deny. 29 Proceed to a shadow rising in three columns: 30 Neither shading nor availing against the flame. 31 The fire will shoot out sparks as big as huge towers 32 and as bright as a herd of yellow camels. 33 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 34 This is the day on which they shall not speak, 35 Nor given leave to make excuses. 36 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 37 This is the Day of Judgement. We have assembled you all together with past generations. 38 if you have a trick, try you now to trick Me!' 39 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 40
