Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ Then I swear by the setting of the stars, 75 And most surely it is a very great oath if you only knew; 76 Behold, it is a truly noble discourse, 77 in a Book protected (from tampering) 78 which none shall touch except the purified; 79 a revelation from the Lord of the Universe. 80 Do you, then, take this discourse in light esteem, 81 Do you make its denial your means of livelihood? 82 Why, then, when [the last breath] comes up to the throat [of a dying man,] 83 And you wait for the moment (of death), 84 and We are nearer to him than you, although you cannot see Us -- 85 Then why do ye not,- If you are exempt from (future) account,- 86 Do ye not force it back, if ye are truthful? 87 And if the deceased was of those brought near to Allah, 88 (There is for him) rest and provision, and a Garden of delights (Paradise). 89 And if he is of those on the right, – 90 (he will be greeted with): 'Peace be upon you, Companion of the Right' 91 If it is of those who have rejected the Truth and have gone astray, 92 its dwelling will be boiling water 93 and the heat of hell fire. 94 This is indeed an utmost certainty. 95 So celebrate with praises the name of thy Lord, the Supreme. 96

عند قراءة القرآن الملون في وضعية اللغة العربية المرسومة بالأحرف الإنجليزية، قد لا تلاحظ وجود منظومة برمجية مصممة لمطابقة متطلبات علامات الوقف في النص العربي الأصلي. فكما تعلم، يحتوي القرآن على خمسة أنواع رئيسية من علامات الوقف. (1) وقف لازم، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي نقطة وقف. (2) وقف جائز مع الوقف أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلثين. (3) وقف جائز مع تساوي أولوية الوقف والوصل، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال النصف للنصف. (4) وقف جائز مع الوصل أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلث. When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
