The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ When the Occurrence occurs, 1 (and none denies its descending) 2 The event will be abasing some, and exalting some. 3 When the earth will tremble, shivering. 4 And the mountains will be powdered to dust. 5 So that they become dust seattered. 6 And you will become divided into three categories. 7 Then the companions of the right - what are the companions of the right? 8 And those on the Left Hand (i.e. those who will be given their Record in their left hands), Who will be those on the Left Hand? (As a disgrace for them, because they will enter Hell). 9 The third to the fore shall be the foremost. 10 These will be those nearest to Allah. 11 They will dwell in the Gardens of Bliss: 12 (a throng of the ancients 13 but [only] a few of later times. 14 On lined couches, 15 they shall recline, facing each other, 16 There shall go round unto them youths ever-young. 17 with goblets and ewers, and a cup from a spring 18 Whereby there shall be neither headiness nor will they be inebriated. 19 And fruit that they prefer 20 and with the flesh of any fowl that they may desire. 21 and fair maidens with large, lustrous eyes 22 like pearls preserved in their shells, 23 A Reward for the deeds of their past (life). 24 They will hear no nonsense there or talk of sin, 25 Only a saying: "Peace, peace." 26 The companions of the right - what are the companions of the right? 27 [They, too, will find themselves] amidst fruit laden lote-trees, 28 And plantains laden with fruit. 29 and continuous shade, 30 And water flowing constantly, 31 And fruit abundant. 32 never-ending and unrestricted, 33 and raised couches 34 Perfectly We formed them, perfect, 35 We have made them virgins, 36 Devoted [to their husbands] and of equal age, 37 For those on the Right Hand. 38

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
