Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When the heaven shall be cleft, 1 when the stars are scattered, 2 And when the seas are erupted 3 and when the graves are laid open: 4 Each soul shall know that which it sent afore and that which it left behind. 5 O MAN! What is it that lures thee away from thy bountiful Sustainer, 6 who created you, fashioned you and proportioned you, 7 In whatever Form He wills, does He put thee together. 8 No indeed; (the fact is that) you deny the Reckoning, declaring it a lie; 9 Surely there are guardians over you, 10 noble scribes, 11 Knowing all what you may do. 12 Surely the pious shall be in bliss, 13 and the evil-doers will be in hell 14 They will burn therein on the Day of Judgment, 15 to burn therein. 16 They will never be able to escape from it. Would that you knew what the Day of Judgment is! 17 Then, what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense? 18 A day on which no soul hath power at all for any (other) soul. The (absolute) command on that day is Allah's. 19
