۞ When the sky is rent asunder, 1 And it listens to the command of its Lord – and that befits it. 2 And when the earth shall be stretched forth. 3 And has cast out all that was in it and became empty, 4 in obedience to the commands of its Lord which are incumbent on it, (the human being will receive due recompense for his deeds). 5 Human being, you strive hard to get closer to your Lord, and so you will certainly receive the recompense (of your deeds). 6 he who is given his record in his right hand 7 he will in time be called to account with an easy accounting, 8 and will [be able to] turn joyfully to those of his own kind. 9 And as to him who shall be given his book from behind his back 10 He will invoke (his) destruction, 11 They will suffer the heat of hell fire. 12 He verily lived joyous with his folk, 13 Never thinking he will return. 14 Nay, nay! for his Lord was (ever) watchful of him! 15 So I swear by the afterglow of sunset; 16 And [by] the night and what it envelops 17 And by the moon when it is at the full, 18 [That] you will surely experience state after state. 19 What is the matter with them, that they do not believe 20 Why, when the Quran is recited to them, do they not prostrate themselves? ۩ 21 In fact the unbelievers disavow. 22 Allah knows best what they are accumulating (in their Record). 23 So give them news of painful punishment, 24 Except those who believed and did good deeds – for them is a reward that will never end. 25
