This, (Quran), is certainly the revelation from the Lord of the Universe. 192 It has been revealed through the trustworthy Spirit 193 upon your heart (Prophet Muhammad), in order to be one of the warners, 194 in clear Arabic speech. 195 Surely, it is foretold in the ancient scriptures. 196 Was it not a sign for them, that it is known to the learned of the Children of Israel? 197 And even if We had revealed it to one among the foreigners 198 So that he should have recited it to them, they would not have believed therein. 199 Thus have We caused this [message] to pass [unheeded] through the hearts of those who are lost in sin: 200 They will not believe in it to the extent that they see the painful punishment. 201 The torment will strike them suddenly without their knowledge. 202 and then they will exclaim, "Could we have a respite?" 203 Seek haste then they with our torment? 204 Did you consider that if We were to let them enjoy life for many years 205 And then the promise that is given to them, does come upon them- 206 Of what avail shall their enjoyment be to them? 207 And We destroyed not a city but it had its warners. 208 We have never been unjust to anyone. 209 The satans did not bring down this (Clear Book), 210 It is not meet for them, nor is it in their power, 211 Indeed they have been banished from the place of hearing. 212 So call not upon another god with Allah, lest you be of those who are punished. 213 And warn thy tribe of near kindred, 214 And lower thou thy wing unto those who follow thee as believers. 215 So if they do not obey you, then say, “Indeed I am unconcerned with what you do.” 216 And put thy trust in the Mighty, the Merciful. 217 Who sees you when you arise 218 And (seeth) thine abasement among those who fall prostrate (in worship). 219 He is All-Hearing, All-Knowing. 220 Shall I inform you (of him) upon whom the Shaitans descend? 221 They descend on every lying sinner, 222 They give ear, but most of them are liars. 223 And the poets - [only] the deviators follow them; 224 Do you not see how they wander aimlessly in every valley, 225 And they say what they do not do, 226 Save those who believed and worked righteous works and remembered Allah much, and vindicated themselves after they had been wronged. And anon those who do wrong shall come to know with what a translating they shall be translated. 227
