The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ When the Terror descends 1 There is about its happening no lie. 2 The event will be abasing some, and exalting some. 3 When the earth will tremble, shivering. 4 The mountains bruised and crushed, 5 So that they shall be as scattered dust. 6 You will become three categories: 7 Thus, there shall be such as will have attained to what is right: oh, how [happy] will be they who have attained to what is right! 8 Companions of the Left (O Companions of the Left!) 9 As for the Foremost, they will be the foremost! 10 Who will be honoured 11 In the Gardens of Pleasure, 12 A throng of the ancients, 13 And a few of those of later time. 14 (They will be) on Thrones encrusted (with gold and precious stones), 15 Reclining thereon facing each other. 16 They will be served by immortal boys, 17 with goblets, jugs and cups of crystal clear wine 18 that will neither make the head throb, nor intoxicate, 19 along with fruits of their choice; 20 and the meat of any bird that they may desire; 21 And (there are) fair ones with wide, lovely eyes, 22 like the pearls in their shells: 23 As recompense for all they had done. 24 There hear they no vain speaking nor recrimination 25 Other than "Peace, peace" the salutation. 26 The Companions of the Right Hand,- what will be the Companions of the Right Hand? 27 [They, too, will find themselves] amidst fruit laden lote-trees, 28 and flower-clad acacias, 29 In shade long-extended, 30 and outpoured waters, 31 and fruits in abundance, 32 unfailing and not forbidden. 33 And raised couches. 34 for, behold, We shall have brought them into being in a life renewed, 35 And made them virginal, 36 Loving companions matched in age, 37 All this will be for the People on the Right; 38

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
