Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
26 verses, revealed in Mecca after Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat) before The Cave (Al-Kahf)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
Has there come to you the narration of the overwhelming (i.e. the Day of Resurrection); 1 Some faces, that Day, will be humiliated, 2 be toiling and worn-out; 3 They shall roast into the scalding Fire, 4 Drinking from a boiling spring, 5 They will have no food except bitter thorn, 6 Which will neither nourish nor satisfy hunger. 7 Faces on that Day shall be delighted, 8 Well-pleased because of their striving, 9 In a lofty Paradise. 10 wherein thou wilt hear no empty talk. 11 therein a running fountain, 12 and couches raised high, 13 Goblets placed (ready), 14 cushions ranged, 15 And rich carpets (all) spread out. 16 Do (these unbelievers) not observe the camels: how they were created? 17 And how the heaven was raised up, 18 And at the Mountains, how they are fixed firm?- 19 how the earth was outstretched? 20 Therefore remind, you are only a Reminder. 21 You are not charged to oversee them. 22 However, he who turns away and disbelieves - 23 In which case he will be punished by God with the severest punishment. 24 Lo! unto Us is their return 25 Then verily, for Us will be their reckoning. 26

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
