1/2 Hizb 45

۞ (It will be said to the angels): "Assemble those who did wrong, together with their companions (from the devils) and what they used to worship. 22 Beside Allah, and lead them on to the path of the Flaming Fire. 23 And detain them, for they will be questioned." 24 They will be asked, "Why do you not help each other?" 25 Indeed, today they are surrendering themselves completely.” 26 And they will turn to one another, and question one another. 27 "It was you who tried to mislead us from righteousness". 28 They shall say: Nay, you (yourselves) were not believers; 29 Moreover, we had no power at all over you: nay, you were people filled with overweening arrogance! 30 So the word of our Lord has come into effect upon us; indeed, we will taste [punishment]. 31 "We led you astray: for truly we were ourselves astray." 32 So verily on that Day they all in the torment will be sharers. 33 Even so We do with the sinners; 34 Whenever it was said to them: “There is no true deity apart from Allah,” they waxed proud 35 and said: “Shall we forsake our deities for the sake of a distracted poet?” 36 Nay: he has come with the truth and verified the apostles. 37 Most surely you will taste the painful punishment. 38 and be rewarded only according to your deeds." 39 But for the sincere worshipers of Allah, 40 Whose provision is predetermined -- 41 Fruits (Delights); and they (shall enjoy) honour and dignity, 42 In Gardens of Felicity, 43 They will be seated upon couches set face to face; 44 Round them will be passed a cup of pure wine; 45 White, delicious to the drinkers, 46 causing no headiness or intoxication. 47 With them will be spouses, modest of gaze and beautiful of eye, 48 like closely guarded pearls. 49 They will turn to one another with questions: 50 A speaker among them will say, "Indeed, I had a companion [on earth] 51 Who said: art thou of those who confess to the doctrine of Resurrection: 52 [that] after we have died and become mere dust and bones we shall, forsooth, be brought to judgment?"' 53 He says, 'Are you looking down?' 54 He will look down and see him in hell. 55 He will say to his friend in hell, "By God, you almost destroyed me. 56 And had it not been for the favour of my Lord, I too had been of those haled forth (to doom). 57 So, are we not going to die, 58 Except for our first death, and we will not be punished?" 59 This will indeed be great happiness. 60 For the like of this let the workers work. 61 Is this better as an entertainment or the tree of Zaqqum? 62 Which We have reserved as punishment for evil-doers? 63 Lo! it is a tree that springeth in the heart of hell. 64 and its fruits are like the heads of devils. 65 on it they shall feed, and with it they shall fill their bellies. 66 And afterward, lo! thereupon they have a drink of boiling water 67 Then shall their return be to the (Blazing) Fire. 68 They found their fathers had gone astray; 69 So they hastened [to follow] in their footsteps. 70 Most of the ancient people had also gone astray. 71 But We sent aforetime, among them, (messengers) to admonish them;- 72 Then look how was the end of those who were warned - 73 Not so the chosen servants of God. 74
