The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
78 verses, revealed in Medina after Thunder (Al-Ra'ad) before The Human (Al-Insan)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ The Most Beneficent (Allah)! 1 Hath made known the Qur'an. 2 He has created man: 3 He has taught him speech (and intelligence). 4 The sun and the moon follow courses (exactly) computed; 5 [before Him] prostrate themselves the stars and the trees. 6 And Allah has raised the sky; and He has set the balance. 7 that you may not transgress in the balance, 8 Give just weight and do not skimp the scales. 9 He has laid out the earth for His creatures. 10 Therein are fruit and palm-trees sheathed. 11 and a variety of corn with both husk and grain. 12 Which favors of your Lord will you both (humans and jinn) belie? 13 He created man from dry clay like earthen vessels, 14 and jinn from the many colored flames of fire. 15 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 16 Lord of the two Easts, Lord of the two Wests. 17 How many favours of your Lord will then both of you deny? 18 He has given freedom to the two great bodies of water, so that they might meet: 19 In-between the twain is a barrier which they pass not. 20 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 21 Pearls and corals come forth from both of them. 22 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 23 His too are the ships that run, raised up in the sea like land-marks. 24 Which of the favours of your Lord will you twain you men and jinn then deny? 25

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
