Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ I swear by the Day of Resurrection 1 And I call the reprehensive soul to witness: 2 Does man assume that We will never assemble his bones? 3 Yes indeed; We have the power to remould even his finger-tips. 4 None the less man chooses to deny what lies ahead of him, 5 He asks: "When will the Day of Resurrection be?" 6 But [on that Day], when mortal sight is confounded, 7 And the moon will be eclipsed. 8 and the sun and the moon are brought together, 9 on that Day will man say: “Whither the refuge?” 10 No! There is no refuge! 11 With thy Sustainer, on that Day, the journey's end will be! 12 Man will be apprised, on that Day, of what he has done and what he has left undone: 13 He shall be a clear proof against himself, 14 Although he tender his excuses. 15 Stir not thy tongue herewith to hasten it. 16 Indeed assembling the Qur’an and reading it are upon Us. 17 And when We read it, follow thou the reading; 18 Then Ours it is to explain it. 19 Truly, you love immediate gain 20 And leave the Hereafter. 21 Countenances on that Day shall be resplendent, 22 Looking toward their Lord. 23 And how many faces on that Day will be woe-begone 24 Fearing that a great disaster is going to befall them. 25 Never so, for when life withdraws into the clavicula, 26 and it is said, 'Who is an enchanter?' 27 and he knows that it is the time of parting; 28 and calf is inter-twined with calf. 29 On that day, the herding will be only towards your Lord. 30
