The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
When the sun is wrapped up [in darkness] 1 and when the stars lose their light, 2 And when the mountains shall made to pass away; 3 when the pregnant camels are neglected, 4 when the savage beasts shall be brought together, 5 when the seas shall be set boiling, 6 when the souls are coupled (to their body), 7 And the little girl buried alive is asked 8 For what sin she was slain. 9 And when the Records of Account are laid bare. 10 the heavens are unveiled, 11 And when the Scorch shall be made to blaze, 12 when Paradise shall be brought nigh, 13 A soul will [then] know what it has brought [with it]. 14 I do not need to swear by the orbiting 15 the planets that run their course and set, 16 and by the night as it recedes, 17 And by the dawn as it brightens; 18 Verily, this is the Word (this Quran brought by) a most honourable messenger [Jibrael (Gabriel), from Allah to the Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him)]. 19 one mighty and held in honour with the Lord of the Throne; 20 [the word] of one to be heeded, and worthy of trust! 21 Your companion is not mad. 22 And indeed he saw him on the clear horizon. (Prophet Mohammed saw Angel Jibreel in his true shape – peace and blessings be upon them). 23 And he is not avid of the Unseen. 24 Nor is this the word of a stoned satan. 25 Whither then go ye? 26 Verily this is no less than a Message to (all) the Worlds: 27 For him among you who pleases to go straight. 28 but you shall not, unless Allah wills, the Lord of all the Worlds. 29
