Surely warners came to the people of Pharaoh. 41 They rejected each one of Our signs. So We seized them with the grip of one mighty and powerful. 42 Are your disbelievers better than they were, or have you been given exemption in the Books? 43 Or say they: We are a host victorious? 44 The army will be routed and put to flight. 45 Nay, but the Hour is their tryst, and the Hour is very calamitous and bitter. 46 Verily the culprits shall be in great error and madness. 47 when they will be dragged on their faces into the fire and will be told, "Feel the touch of hell". 48 Verily, all things have We created in proportion and measure. 49 And Our commandment is but one (commandment), as the twinkling of an eye. 50 We did indeed destroy many like you. Is there, then, any who will heed? 51 All things they do are (recorded) in the books; 52 everything large or small, is duly inscribed. 53 Indeed, the cautious shall live amid gardens and a river, 54 In a good seat, near a Sovereign Omnipotent. 55
