No, by the moon! 32 and by the night when it recedes, 33 By the morning when it brighteneth. 34 Verily, it (Hell, or their denial of the Prophet Muhammad SAW, or the Day of Resurrection) is but one of the greatest calamities. 35 It is a warning for mankind 36 to everyone of you, whether he chooses to come forward or to hang back! 37 Every soul is mortgaged for its own deeds. 38 Except the Companions of the Right Hand. 39 [Who will be] in gardens, questioning each other 40 From the guilty. 41 What led you into the Scorching Fire? 42 They will say: "We were not of those who prayed; 43 we fed not the needy, 44 we indulged in vain arguments along with those who indulged in them; 45 and we cried lies to the Day of Doom, 46 Until the certainty (of death) had come upon us. 47 Then the intercession of the intercessors shall not profit them. 48 Why now turn they away from the Admonishment, 49 As if they were alarmed donkeys 50 fleeing before a lion? 51 Indeed, each one of them desires to be given unrolled scrolls. 52 Never! In fact they do not fear the Hereafter. 53 Nay! it is surely an admonition. 54 so whoever wills shall remember it. 55 No one will seek guidance unless God wills it. He alone is worthy of being feared and He is the Source of Forgiveness. 56
