The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)

In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

I swear by the runners breathing pantingly, 1 Striking sparks of fire 2 Then those that make raids at morn, 3 and raising clouds of dust, 4 And cleaving their way therein into the host, 5 surely, man is ungrateful to his Lord. 6 To this he himself shall bear witness. 7 And verily, he is violent in the love of wealth. 8 ۞ But does he not know that when the contents of the graves are scattered 9 and all that is [hidden] in men's hearts is bared 10 their Lord will examine his deeds? 11

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
