Al-nahl 7 of 16

۞ God says: 'Take not to you two gods. He is only One God; so have awe of Me.' 51 And His is whatsoever is in the heavens and the earth, and unto Him is obedience due perpetually; will ye then fear any other than Allah? 52 And whatever favor is (bestowed) on you it is from Allah; then when evil afflicts you, to Him do you cry for aid. 53 Yet, when He removes the distress from you, behold! some of you turn to other gods to join with their Lord- 54 showing no gratitude for what We have given them. Enjoy yourselves awhile; but soon you will know! 55 They even appoint a share of what We have provided for them [to false gods] they know nothing of. You shall surely be questioned about the lies you have been fabricating. 56 And they appoint for Allah daughters - hallowed be He! and for themselves that which they desire. 57 And when a daughter is announced to one of them his face becomes black and he is full of wrath. 58 and he hides himself from people because of the bad news, thinking: should he keep the child despite disgrace, or should he bury it in dust? How evil is their estimate of Allah! 59 The attribute of evil applies to those who do not believe in the Hereafter, while to God applies the highest attribute, for He is Mighty, the Wise. 60
