۞ And when a description of the son of Marium is given, lo! your people raise a clamor thereat. 57 saying, "Are our gods better or him?" -- they cite him only to challenge you: they are a contentious people -- 58 He is nothing but a slave on whom We bestowed favour, and We made him a pattern for the Children of Israel. 59 Had it been Our Will We would have made angels among you as successors in the earth. 60 He is certainly the sign of the Hour (of change). So have no doubt about it, and listen to me. This is the straight path. 61 Let not Satan bar you; he is for you a manifest foe. 62 When Jesus came with clear proofs (of Allah's Sovereignty), he said: I have come unto you with wisdom, and to make plain some of that concerning which ye differ. So keep your duty to Allah, and obey me. 63 Assuredly God is my Lord and your Lord; therefore serve Him; this is a straight path.' 64 Then the groups differed amongst themselves; therefore ruin is for the unjust by the punishment of an agonising day. 65 They await but the Hour: that it should come upon them of a sudden, while they perceive not. 66 Friends will turn into enemies on that day, except those who fear and follow the straight path. 67
