And certainly We created man, and We know what his mind suggests to him, and We are nearer to him than his life-vein. 16 Behold, two (guardian angels) appointed to learn (his doings) learn (and noted them), one sitting on the right and one on the left. 17 He utters not a word, but there is a vigilant watcher at hand. 18 And the hardship of death came with the truth; “This is what you were escaping from!” 19 And the trumpet shall be blown; that is the day of the threatening. 20 Each soul shall come with a driver, and a witness. 21 You were heedless of this. Now We have removed your veil and so your vision today is sharp. 22 And his comrade shall say, 'This is what I have, made ready.' 23 (And it will be said): "Both of you throw (Order from Allah to the two angels) into Hell, every stubborn disbeliever (in the Oneness of Allah, in His Messengers, etc.). 24 who is an opponent of good, a suspicious transgressor 25 who has set up with Allah another god. Indeed, you two, cast him into the terrible punishment' 26 ۞ His companion will say: O our Lord! caused him not to transgress but he was himself in error far off. 27 Allah will say: "Dispute not in front of Me, I had already, in advance, sent you the threat. 28 The sentence that cometh from Me cannot be changed, and I am in no wise a tyrant unto the slaves. 29
