By the emissary winds, (sent) one after another 1 storming tempestuously 2 By the spreading winds spreading. 3 then the criterion (the verses of Koran), separating 4 and those hurling a reminder 5 to excuse some and warn others: 6 surely, that which you have been promised is about to fall! 7 Then the stars will lose their light. 8 and when the sky is rent asunder, 9 and when the mountains crumble into dust 10 And when the messengers are brought unto their time appointed - 11 to what day shall they be delayed? 12 To the Day of Decision. 13 Would that you knew about the Day of Judgment! 14 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients 16 Then did We follow them up with later ones. 17 As such shall We deal with the sinners. 18 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 19 Created We you not of water despicable, 20 which We then let remain in [the womb's] firm keeping 21 Till an appointed term, 22 We determined, how excellent a Determiner are We! 23 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle? 25 for the living and for the dead? 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and given you fresh water to drink? 27 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 28 Proceed to that which you denied. 29 Proceed to that shadow, rising in three columns 30 which neither provides (cooling) shade nor protection against the flames; 31 Indeed hell throws up sparks like huge castles. 32 and yellow camels. 33 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 34 This is the Day they shall not speak, 35 Nor are they suffered to put forth excuses. 36 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 37 'This is the Day of Decision; We have joined you with the ancients; 38 If you now have any conspiracy, carry it out on Me. 39 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 40
