Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Ya-Sin. 1 By the Quran, full of wisdom, 2 Lo! thou art of those sent 3 On a straight path. 4 A revelation from the mighty, ever-merciful (God), 5 That thou mayest warn a people whose fathers were not warned; so they are negligent. 6 The word has been proved true against the greater part of them: they will not believe. 7 Verily We have placed on their necks shackles which are up to the chins; so that their heads are forced up. 8 And We shall raise a barrier in front of them and a barrier behind them, and cover them over so that they will not be able to see. 9 Alike it is to them whether thou hast warned them or thou hast not warned them, they do not believe. 10 Thou canst [truly] warn only him who is willing to take the reminder to heart, and who stands in awe of the Most Gracious although He is beyond the reach of human perception: unto such, then, give the glad tiding of [God's] forgiveness and of a most excellent reward! 11 We will surely bring the dead to life and We record what they send ahead and the signs they will leave behind; and We have accounted all things in a clear Book. 12
