Al-Infitaar
Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ When the heaven is cleft asunder, 1 the stars are dispersed, 2 when the seas are made to burst forth, 3 and the graves are turned inside out, 4 A soul will [then] know what it has put forth and kept back. 5 O man! What hath made thee careless concerning thy Lord, the Bountiful, 6 Who created you proportionately and fashioned you 7 In whatsoever form He listed He constructed thee. 8 Nay, [O men,] but you [are lured away from God whenever you are tempted to] give the lie to [God's] Judgment! 9 And indeed, [appointed] over you are keepers, 10 noble recorders, 11 who know all that you do: 12 Verily, the Abrar (pious and righteous) will be in delight (Paradise); 13 And lo! the wicked verily will be in hell; 14 roasting in it on the Day of Recompense 15 And will not be removed from it. 16 And what will explain to thee what the Day of Judgment is? 17 Again, what shall teach thee what is the Day of Doom? 18 It is the Day when a soul will not possess for another soul [power to do] a thing; and the command, that Day, is [entirely] with Allah. 19
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
