The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By the sky, (displaying) the Zodiacal Signs; 1 by the promised day, 2 And by the Day witnessing and the Day witnessed, 3 may the people be condemned those who tortured (the believers) in ditches 4 the fire abounding in fuel, 5 When they sat by it (fire), 6 And were themselves the witnesses of what they did to the believers. 7 The only reason for which they tormented the believers was the latter's belief in God, the Majestic, and Praiseworthy. 8 Whose is the kingdom of the heavens and the earth; and Allah is a Witness of all things. 9 Those who persecuted the believing men and women and never repented, there is for them the punishment of Gehenna (Hell), and for them the punishment of the burning. 10 Verily, those who believe and do righteous good deeds, for them will be Gardens under which rivers flow (Paradise). That is the great success. 11 Lo! the punishment of thy Lord is stern. 12 Surely it is He who originates, and brings again, 13 and He is the Forgiving and Loving One. 14 Lord of the Throne, the All-glorious, 15 Executor of His own will. 16 Did the story of the armies reach you? 17 [Those of] Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 And yet the Unbelievers (persist) in rejecting (the Truth)! 19 And Allah, all unseen, surroundeth them. 20 Aye! it is a Recitation glorious, 21 (Inscribed) in Al-Lauh Al-Mahfuz (The Preserved Tablet)! 22
