'Lord' said Moses, 'expand my chest, 25 and make my task easy for me, 26 Unloose the knot upon my tongue, 27 so that they may understand my speech, 28 And appoint for me a minister from my family - 29 Aaron, my brother; 30 “Back me up with him.” 31 and associate him with me in my task. 32 So shall we glorify Thee, 33 "And remember You much, 34 “Indeed You see us.” 35 He said, “O Moosa, you have been granted your prayer.” 36 Indeed, We showed Our favour to you before also, 37 when We revealed what was revealed unto thy mother: 38 to lace her child in a chest and throw it into the sea which would hurl it towards the shore. Then an enemy of Mine who was also the enemy of the child would pick it up from there. I made you attractive and loveable so that you would be reared before My own eyes. 39 When thy sister went and said: Shall I show you one who will nurse him? and we restored thee to thy mother that her eyes might be refreshed and might not sorrow. And thou didst kill a man and We delivered thee from great distress, and tried thee with a heavy trial. And thou didst tarry years among the folk of Midian. Then camest thou (hither) by (My) providence, O Moses, 40 And I produced you for Myself. 41 go therefore, thou and thy brother; with My signs, and neglect not to remember Me. 42 "Go, both of you, to Fir'aun (Pharaoh), verily, he has transgressed (all bounds in disbelief and disobedience and behaved as an arrogant and as a tyrant). 43 Both of you must speak with him in a gentle manner so that perhaps he may come to himself or have fear (of God)." 44 The twain said: O our Lord! verily we fear that he may hasten against us or wax exorbitant. 45 He said: Fear not, surely I am with you both: I do hear and see. 46 "So go you both to him, and say: 'Verily, we are Messengers of your Lord, so let the Children of Israel go with us, and torment them not; indeed, we have come with a sign from your Lord! And peace will be upon him who follows the guidance! 47 'Truly, it has been revealed to us that the torment will be for him who denies [believes not in the Oneness of Allah, and in His Messengers, etc.], and turns away.'(from the truth and obedience of Allah)" 48 Said Firaun, “So who is the Lord of you both, O Moosa?” 49 He said: "Our Lord is He Who gave to each (created) thing its form and nature, and further, gave (it) guidance." 50 Pharaoh said, 'And what of the former generations?' 51 He replied: "The knowledge of that is with my Lord, duly recorded: my Lord never errs, nor forgets,- 52 [It is He] who has made for you the earth as a bed [spread out] and inserted therein for you roadways and sent down from the sky, rain and produced thereby categories of various plants. 53 Eat [therefrom] and pasture your livestock. Indeed, in that are signs for those of intelligence. 54
