Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Alif-Lam-Meem. (Alphabets of the Arabic language – Allah, and to whomever He reveals, know their precise meanings.) 1 These are the verses of the Book of wisdom, 2 Guidance and mercy for the righteous. 3 for those who attend to their prayers and pay the zakat and who have firm faith in the Hereafter: 4 It is they who are on true guidance from their Lord, and it is they who shall prosper. 5 And of mankind is he who payeth for mere pastime of discourse, that he may mislead from Allah's way without knowledge, and maketh it the butt of mockery. For such there is a shameful doom. 6 When Our verses are recited before them they turn away haughtily as though they did not hear them, as if a deafness had come into their ears. So give them tidings of a shameful punishment. 7 The righteously striving believers will enter Paradise 8 wherein they will live forever. It is the true promise of God. He is Majestic and All-wise. 9 He created the heavens without pillars that you see and has cast into the earth firmly set mountains, lest it should shift with you, and dispersed therein from every creature. And We sent down rain from the sky and made grow therein [plants] of every noble kind. 10 This is Allah's creation, but show Me what those besides Him have created. Nay, the unjust are in manifest error 11
