Al-Saaffaat 4 of 5
And We verily gave grace unto Moses and Aaron, 114 And We delivered them both and their people from the mighty distress. 115 And We helped them, so that they were the victors; 116 and We gave them the Manifesting Book, 117 guided them to the right path, 118 and left them thus to be remembered among later generations: 119 "Peace be upon Moses and Aaron!" 120 Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 121 Verily the twain were of Our bondmen believing. 122 Elijah too was one of the messengers. 123 (Call to mind) when he said to his people: “Will you not fear Allah? 124 Will ye cry unto Baal and forsake the Best of creators, 125 Allah, your Lord and the Lord of your fathers of yore? 126 But they denied him [Iliyas (Elias)], so they will certainly be brought forth (to the punishment), 127 Except the chosen creatures of God. 128 And we left for him among the later folk (the salutation): 129 "Peace be upon Elijah and his followers!" 130 In this way do We reward the righteous ones. 131 he was among Our believing servants. 132 And indeed Lut is one of the Noble Messengers. 133 We rescued him and his whole family, 134 Except an old woman who was among those who lagged behind: 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 and, verily, [to this day] you pass by the remnants of their dwellings at morning-time 137 And at night. Then will you not use reason? 138

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
