Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By oath of those that are sent, one after the other. (The verses of the Holy Qur’an or the angels or the winds). 1 Which then blow violently in tempestuous Gusts, 2 and raise (clouds) and scatter them around, 3 by (the angels) who make a clear distinction between right and wrong 4 Then spread abroad a Message, 5 [promising] freedom from blame or [offering] a warning! 6 that whatever with which you have been warned will inevitably come to pass. 7 So when the stars are put out, 8 And when the heaven is opened 9 The mountains will be blown away as dust. 10 and when the Messengers' time is set, 11 to what day shall they be delayed? 12 For the Day of Sorting out. 13 What will explain to you what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe on that day unto the beliers 15 Destroyed We not the ancients? 16 and let the latter follow them? 17 Thus deal We ever with the guilty. 18 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 19 Did We not create you from a worthless water (semen, etc.)? 20 which We placed within a sure lodging 21 For a known term? 22 So We proportion it-- how well are We at proportioning (things). 23 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 24 Did We not make the earth a storehouse? 25 for both the living and the dead? 26 And have placed therein firm and tall mountains and given you to drink of water fresh 27 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 28 “Move towards what you used to deny!” 29 Depart to a triple-massing shadow 30 (Which yet is) no relief nor shelter from the flame. 31 that shoots sparks like dry faggots, 32 as black camels. 33 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 34 On that Day they will be speechless, 35 Nor given leave to make excuses. 36 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 37 That will be a Day of Sorting out! We shall gather you together and those before (you)! 38 and if you [think that you] have a subterfuge left, try to outwit Me!" 39 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 40
