The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the morning brightness 1 and the brooding night! 2 Your Lord has not taken leave of you, [O Muhammad], nor has He detested [you]. 3 and the Last shall be better for thee than the First. 4 And indeed your Lord will soon give you so much that you will be pleased. (Allah seeks to please the Holy Prophet – peace and blessings be upon him.) 5 Did He not find you an orphan and take care of you? 6 And find you lost (that is, unrecognized by men) and guide (them to you)? 7 Did He not find you poor and suffice you? 8 Therefore, as for the orphan, do not oppress (him). 9 Nor repulse the petitioner (unheard); 10 Therefor of the bounty of thy Lord be thy discourse. 11
God the Almighty always says the truth.
