Hizb 46

Jonah, too, was one of the Messengers. 139 When he left towards the laden ship. 140 And he drew lots and was among the losers. 141 Then a fish swallowed him, and he was blameworthy. 142 Had he not glorified God, 143 he would certainly have remained in its belly till the Day of Resurrection. 144 ۞ but We cast him upon the wilderness, and he was sick, 145 And We grew a tree of gourd (as a shelter) above him. 146 We sent him to a hundred thousand or more people. 147 So they accepted faith We therefore gave them usage for a while. 148 AND NOW ask them to enlighten thee: Has thy Sustainer daughters, whereas they would have [only] sons? 149 Or did We create the angels females while they were witnesses? 150 Verily, it is of their falsehood that they (Quraish pagans) say: 151 God hath begotten. Verily they are the liars. 152 Has He chosen daughters above sons? 153 What ails you then, how you judge? 154 What, and will you not remember? 155 Or have you a clear authority? 156 Produce, then, that divine writ of yours, if you are speaking the truth! 157 They link Him with jinns by lineage, yet the jinns know they will be brought before Him. 158 Hallowed be Allah from that which they ascribe to Him. 159 all of them except the chosen servants of Allah. 160 So, verily you (pagans) and those whom you worship (idols). 161 Ye cannot excite (anyone) against Him. 162 except him who shall roast in the Blazing Fire. 163 (Gabriel said to the Prophet): 'Each of us has a known place. 164 Verily we range ourselves in rows (as humble servants) 165 And we are they who exalt (Allah)' 166 Even though they (unbelievers) say, 167 "If we had a reminder as had the men of old (before the coming of Prophet Muhammad SAW as a Messenger of Allah). 168 we would surely have been Allah's chosen servants.” 169 But they disbelieved in it; soon they shall know! 170 Our Word had already preceded Our worshipers, the Messengers, 171 That they would be helped, 172 And that certainly Our armies will be victorious. 173 (Muhammad), stay away from them for a while 174 and watch them. They, too, will watch. 175 What, do they seek to hasten Our chastisement? 176 So when it does descend in their courtyards so what an evil morning it will be for those who were warned! 177 And leave them for a time. 178 and see; soon they shall see! 179 Exalted be your Lord, the Lord of Glory, above what they attribute to Him, 180 Peace be with the Messengers (of God). 181 And all praise to God, the Lord of all the worlds. 182
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
