What, are you stronger in constitution or the heaven He built? 27 He raised its ceiling and proportioned it. 28 He has made its nights dark and its days bright. 29 And after that He spread the earth; 30 and has caused its waters to come out of it, and its pastures, 31 And He made fast the hills, 32 As convenience for you and your cattle. 33 But when there comes the greatest catastrophe (i.e. the Day of Recompense, etc.), 34 The day when man will call to mind his (whole) endeavour, 35 and when Hell is advanced for whoever sees, 36 Then as for him who is inordinate, 37 And had preferred the life of this world, 38 The Abode will be Hell-Fire; 39 However, those who had feared their Lord and restrained their souls from acting according to its desires. 40 shall dwell in Paradise. 41 They ask you about the Hour: “When will it be?” 42 What do you have to do with explaining it? 43 Its knowledge rests with your Lord. 44 Thou art but a Warner for such as fear it. 45 It will be, on the Day they see it, as though they had not remained [in the world] except for an afternoon or a morning thereof. 46
