People of Hijr rejected the Messengers. 80 We sent them Our Signs, but they persisted in turning away from them. 81 Out of the mountains did they hew (their) edifices, (feeling themselves) secure. 82 But the Shout seized them in the morning, 83 And what they earned did not avail them. 84 AND [remember:] We have not created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them without [an inner] truth; but, behold, the Hour [when this will become clear to all] is indeed yet to come. Hence, forgive [men's failings] with fair forbearance: 85 Indeed, your Lord - He is the Knowing Creator. 86 (Muhammad), We have given you the seven most repeated (verses) and the great Quran. 87 Do not direct your eyes towards the things We have given to some of their couples to enjoy, and do not at all grieve because of them, and take the Muslims within the folds of your mercy. 88 And say: "I am indeed he that warneth openly and without ambiguity,"- 89 Just as We had revealed [scriptures] to the separators 90 Those who break the Qur'an into parts. 91 By thy Lord, We will question them all. 92 about what they did. 93 Proclaim openly what you are commanded, and avoid the polytheists. 94 We will, surely, suffice you against those who mock, 95 Those who ascribe another God along with Allah; so they will soon come to know. 96 We do indeed know how thy heart is distressed at what they say. 97 But celebrate the praises of thy Lord, and be of those who prostrate themselves in adoration. 98 And worship your Lord until there comes to you the certainty (death). 99
