And (remember) when your Lord said to Moosa, “Go to the unjust people.” 10 the people of Pharaoh, who refuse to be conscious of Me!" 11 He said: my Lord! verily I fear they shall belie me. 12 And that my breast will tighten and my tongue will not be fluent, so send for Aaron. 13 They also have a sin against me, and I fear they will slay me.' 14 Said He, 'No indeed; but go, both of you, with Our signs, and We assuredly shall be with you, listening. 15 Go, then, to Pharaoh and say to him: 'The Lord of the Universe has sent us 16 Let the children of Israel go with us!'" 17 He said, 'Did we not raise thee amongst us as a child? Didst thou not tarry among us years of thy life? 18 And thou didst the deed thou didst, being one of the ungrateful!' 19 Moses replied, "I did that when I was one of the misguided, 20 Then I fled for fear of you. Then my Lord bestowed wisdom and authority on me and made me one of the Messengers. 21 And is it a favor of which you remind me that you have enslaved the children of Israel? 22 Fir'aun (Pharaoh) said: "And what is the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists)?" 23 'He' (Moses) replied: 'is the Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, if you believe' 24 (Pharaoh) said unto those around him: Hear ye not? 25 He said: your Lord and the Lord of your ancient fathers. 26 [Pharaoh] said, "Indeed, your 'messenger' who has been sent to you is mad." 27 He said, “The Lord of the East and the West and all that is between them; if you have sense.” 28 Said [Pharaoh]: "Indeed, if thou choose to worship any deity other than me, I shall most certainly throw thee into prison! 29 (Moses) said: "Even if I showed you something clear (and) convincing?" 30 Pharaoh said: "Then bring it if you are truthful at all." 31 So [Moses] threw his staff, and suddenly it was a serpent manifest. 32 And he drew out his hand, and it appeared [shining] white to the beholders. 33
