The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
CONSIDER the sky full of great constellations, 1 and by the promised Day, 2 And by the witness and that whereunto he beareth testimony, 3 Accursed be the People of the Ditch! 4 [Containing] the fire full of fuel, 5 while they themselves sat around it 6 to watch what they were doing to the believers, 7 whom they hate for no other reason than that they believe in God, the Almighty, the One to whom all praise is due, 8 To whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth. And Allah, over all things, is Witness. 9 Surely (as for) those who persecute the believing men and the believing women, then do not repent, they shall have the chastisement of hell, and they shall have the chastisement of burning. 10 Surely for those who believe and do the right are gardens with rivers running by. That is the greatest success. 11 VERILY, thy Sustainer's grip is exceedingly strong! 12 Indeed it is He Who initiates and redoes. 13 And He is the Forgiving, the Loving, 14 the Owner of the Throne, the Glorious One, 15 The Doer of whatever He wants. 16 Hath there come unto thee the story of the hosts 17 [Those of] Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 Yet the unbelievers still belie, 19 And Allah encompasses them on every side. 20 But this is an honored Qur'an 21 In a guarded tablet. 22
