In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
HaMeem 1 CONSIDER this divine writ, clear in itself and clearly showing the truth! 2 (That) We sent it down one night of blessing -- so that We could warn -- 3 (We revealed it on the Night) wherein every matter is wisely determined 4 As a command from Our presence - Lo! We are ever sending - 5 as a mercy from thy Lord (surely He is the All-hearing, the All-knowing) 6 Lord of the heavens and the earth and that between them, if you would be certain. 7 There is only One Lord. It is He who gives life and causes things to die. He is your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers. 8 Aye! they're in doubt sporting. 9 So wait thou the day whereon the heaven will bring forth a manifest smoke: 10 Which would envelope mankind. That would be a grievous affliction. 11 'O our Lord, remove Thou from us the chastisement; we are believers.' 12 How will there be for them a reminder [at that time]? And there had come to them a clear Messenger. 13 then they turned away from him and said, 'A man tutored, possessed!' 14 If We remove the torment a little, you revert back (to misdeeds). 15 The day that We shall seize them with a grievous hold, We will indeed castigate them. 16 ۞ And assuredly afore them We proved Fir'awn's people, and there came unto them an apostle honoured. 17 Saying: restore to me the bondmen of Allah, verily I am unto you an apostle trusted. 18 Do not consider yourselves above God. I shall show you a manifest authority (in support of my truthfulness). 19 and, behold, it is with my Sustainer - and your Sustainer - that I seek refuge against all your endeavours to revile me. 20 'But if so be that you believe me not, go you apart from me!' 21 (But they were aggressive), so he [Musa (Moses)] called upon his Lord (saying): "These are indeed the people who are Mujrimun (disbelievers, polytheists, sinners, criminals, etc.)." 22 So go forth with My servants by night; surely you will be pursued: 23 Leave the sea behind you parted; they are a host destined to be drowned." 24 How many were the gardens and springs they left behind, 25 And fields and grand palaces! 26 and pleasant things in which they delighted! 27 Thus it was. And [then] We made another people heirs [to what they had left,] 28 Neither heaven nor earth wept for them, nor were they respited; 29

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
