Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the (Winds) that scatter broadcast; 1 then the bearers of weight (the clouds), 2 and those speeding along with ease, 3 And those who distribute (it) by command, 4 Undoubtedly, the promise you are given is surely true. 5 and, verily, judgment is bound to come! 6 By heaven with all its tracks 7 Verily ye are in a divided opinion. 8 Only those who are destined to revert, are reverted from it. 9 Woe to the liars 10 Who are under a cover of heedlessness (think not about the gravity of the Hereafter), 11 They ask, "When will the Day of Judgement come?" 12 On the Day of Judgment they will be punished by the fire 13 'Taste your trial! This is that you were seeking to hasten.' 14 Indeed the pious are among Gardens and water springs. 15 enjoying all that their Sustainer will have granted them [because,] verily, they were doers of good in the past: 16 They slept but a little at night, 17 and at dawn would ask forgiveness, 18 And in their wealth and possessions (was remembered) the right of the (needy,) him who asked, and him who (for some reason) was prevented (from asking). 19 And on the earth are signs for those who have Faith with certainty, 20 there are signs for firm believers. Do you not see then? 21 And in heaven is [the source of] your sustenance [on earth] and [of] all that you are promised [for your life after death]: 22 This, by the Lord of the heavens and the earth is as certain as your ability to speak. 23
