T H (Taa Haa)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Ta. Ha. 1 We have not revealed unto thee (Muhammad) this Qur'an that thou shouldst be distressed, 2 but as a reminder to he who fears. 3 A revelation from Him Who created the earth and the heavens on high. 4 the Merciful willed to the Throne. 5 Unto Him belongeth whatsoever is in the heavens and whatsoever is in the earth, and whatsoever is between them, and whatsoever is beneath the sod. 6 And if you (O Muhammad SAW) speak (the invocation) aloud, then verily, He knows the secret and that which is yet more hidden. 7 Allah-- there is no god but He; His are the very best names. 8 And did the news of Moosa reach you? 9 Behold, he saw a fire: So he said to his family, "Tarry ye; I perceive a fire; perhaps I can bring you some burning brand therefrom, or find some guidance at the fire." 10 When he came close to it, a voice called out, "Moses, 11 I Am your Lord. Take off your shoes; you are in the holy valley of Tuwa. 12 "I have chosen thee: listen, then, to the inspiration (sent to thee). 13 "Verily, I - I alone - am God; there is no deity save Me. Hence, worship Me alone, and be constant in prayer, so as to remember Me! 14 Lo! the Hour is surely coming. But I will to keep it hidden, that every soul may be rewarded for that which it striveth (to achieve). 15 "Therefore let not such as believe not therein but follow their own lusts, divert thee therefrom, lest thou perish!".. 16 “And what is this in your right hand, O Moosa?” 17 "It's my staff," he answered; "I lean on it, and fell leaves for my goats with it, and I have other uses for it." 18 (Allah) said, "Throw it, O Moses!" 19 So he threw it down, and all of a sudden, it turned into a fast-moving serpent. 20 Allah said: take hold of it, and fear not; We shall restore it to its former state. 21 Put your hand under your armpit: it will come out [shining] white, without any blemish. This shall be another sign. 22 That We may show thee (some) of Our greater portents, 23 Go thou unto Pharaoh! Lo! he hath transgressed (the bounds). 24
