To the People of Pharaoh, too, aforetime, came Warners (from Allah). 41 (They) belied all Our Signs, so We seized them with a Seizure of the All-Mighty, All-Capable to carry out what he Will (Omnipotent). 42 Are you disbelievers mightier than those of the nations which We destroyed before or have you received amnesty through the ancient Scriptures? 43 Or do they say, 'We are a congregation that shall be succoured?' 44 Most certainly their gatherings shall be routed, and they will turn their backs. 45 Indeed, the Hour of Doom is their appointed time, and the Last Hour will be the most severe, and the most bitter. 46 Verily the culprits shall be in great error and madness. 47 The Day they are dragged into the Fire on their faces [it will be said], "Taste the touch of Saqar." 48 We have created everything in due measure; 49 And Our commandment shall be but one, as the twinkling of an eye. 50 And (oft) in the past, have We destroyed gangs like unto you: then is there any that will receive admonition? 51 [They were truly guilty] because all [the evil] that they ever did had been [revealed to them as such] in the [ancient] books of [divine] wisdom; 52 everything large or small, is duly inscribed. 53 Surely those who shun disobedience will dwell amidst Gardens and running streams 54 At the still centre in the proximity of the King all-powerful. 55
