Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By the emissary winds, (sent) one after another 1 And by the winds that blow violently, 2 By those which cause earth's vegetation to revive; 3 And those [angels] who bring criterion 4 Then I swear by the angels who bring down the revelation, 5 To cut off all excuses or to warn; 6 Indeed, what you are promised is to occur. 7 When the stars lose their light, 8 and when the sky is rent asunder, 9 When the mountains are scattered (to the winds) as dust; 10 And when the apostles are gathered at their appointed time 11 to what day shall they be deferred? 12 For the Day of Distinction [between the true and the false]! 13 What do you know what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 15 Have We not destroyed the earlier generations? 16 and make others settle after them in their land? 17 In this wise We do with the culprits. 18 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 19 Did We not create you from contemptible water? 20 Which We placed in a depository safe. 21 for an appointed term? 22 Thus did We Plan and how excellent is Our planning! 23 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 24 Have We not made the earth a housing 25 For the living and the dead among you? 26 And made therein mountains standing firm, lofty (in stature); and provided for you water sweet (and wholesome)? 27 On that Day (of Judgment) woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 28 Proceed to that (the Day of Judgment) which you have rejected. 29 Proceed to a shadow [of smoke] having three columns 30 unshading against the blazing flame 31 it throws spits as (high as a huge) palace, 32 As though they were camels yellow tawny. 33 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 34 This is a day wherein they speak not, 35 nor shall they be permitted to offer excuses. 36 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 37 This is the Day of Decision; We have gathered you and all the earlier men. 38 If now ye have any craft, try that craft upon Me. 39 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 40
