Al-Saaffaat 4 of 5
And assuredly We gave grace unto Musa and Harun. 114 And saved them and their people from great distress, 115 We succoured them, and they gained the upper hand (against their enemies). 116 We gave them the explicit Book, 117 and guided them to the straight path; 118 And We perpetuated (praise) to them among the later generations. 119 Peace be on Musa and Haroun. 120 Thus do We reward the doers of good 121 Verily! They were two of Our believing slaves. 122 And indeed Ilyas is one of the Noble Messengers. 123 When he said to his people, "Will you not fear Allah? 124 Do you call upon Ba'l and leave the best of creators - 125 Allah, your Lord and Lord of your forefathers? 126 But they rejected him, and they will certainly be called up (for punishment),- 127 except the sincere worshipers of Allah. 128 And we left for him among the later folk (the salutation): 129 Peace be upon Elias. 130 This is how We reward the virtuous. 131 Lo! he is one of our believing slaves. 132 And verily, Lout (Lot) was one of the Messengers. 133 When We rescued him and his entire household. 134 Except his wife among those who remained [with the evildoers]. 135 We then destroyed the others. 136 You pass by (their ruined town) in the morning 137 and by night. Will you not, then, use your reason? 138

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
