Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the loosed ones successively 1 storming tempestuously 2 And [by] the winds that spread [clouds] 3 then winnow them thoroughly, 4 and those (angels) dropping, reminding 5 To excuse or to warn, 6 What is promised will surely come to pass. 7 When the stars lose their light, 8 And when the heaven is rent asunder, 9 And when the mountains are blown away, 10 And when the time of the Noble Messengers arrives. 11 For what Day are these signs postponed? 12 For the Day of Sorting out. 13 And what shall teach thee what is the Day of Decision? 14 On that day, woe will be to those who have rejected God's revelations! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients 16 So shall We make the later ones to follow them. 17 Thus do We deal with the sinful ones. 18 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 19 Did We not create you from a liquid disdained? 20 then placed it in a secure repository [the womb], 21 Till an appointed term, 22 Thus have We determined [the nature of man's creation]: and excellent indeed is Our power to determine [what is to be]! 23 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 24 Have We not made the earth a housing 25 For the living and the dead. 26 And We placed therein lofty, firmly set mountains and have given you to drink sweet water. 27 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 28 GO ON towards that [resurrection] which you were wont to call a lie! 29 "Depart ye to a Shadow (of smoke ascending) in three columns, 30 affording neither shade, nor protection from the flames, 31 that shoots sparks like dry faggots, 32 and as bright as a herd of yellow camels. 33 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 34 This is the Day they shall not speak, 35 Nor will it be open to them to put forth pleas. 36 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 37 That will be a Day of Sorting out! We shall gather you together and those before (you)! 38 So if you have any plot to devise against Me, then devise it. 39 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 40
