Prostration

And as for those who emigrated for the Cause of Allah, after suffering oppression, We will certainly give them goodly residence in this world, but indeed the reward of the Hereafter will be greater, if they but knew! 41 Those who are patient and on their Lord do they rely. 42 (O Muhammad), whenever We raised any Messengers before you, they were no other than human beings; (except that) to them We sent revelation. So ask those who possess knowledge if you do not know. 43 With evidences and scriptures We sent them. And We have sent down unto thee the admonition that thou mayest expound unto mankind that which hath been revealed toward them, and that haply they may reflect. 44 Do then those who devise evil plots feel secure that Allah will not sink them into the earth, or that the torment will not seize them from directions they perceive not? 45 Or that He may seize them while they move here and there, for they cannot escape? 46 Or that He may seize them whilst constantly ruining them? For indeed your Lord is Most Compassionate, Most Merciful. 47 Have they not observed things that Allah has created, (how) their shadows incline to the right and to the left, making prostration unto Allah, and they are lowly? 48 Everything in the heavens and all the creatures on the earth prostrate themselves before God, as do the angels, and they do not behave proudly: 49 they fear their Lord above them, and they do what they are commanded. ۩ 50

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
